Otmar Urban prezentoval výsledky dlouhodobého výzkumu v kultivačních sférách na Bílém Kříži v Beskydech, kde se sleduje vliv zvýšené koncentrace oxidu uhličitého (CO2) na produkční a fyziologické parametry lesních dřevin. Naším studiem jsme prokázali, že vyšší koncentrace CO2 zvyšuje fotosyntézu. Stromy a jejich kořeny rostou rychleji a dokážou lépe hospodařit s vodou. To vše za podmínek, kdy stromy mají dostatek minerální výživy.
